Karapetyan's lawyer noted the importance of citizens' support in court.

Samvel Karapetyan's lawyer, Aram Vardevanyan, told Izvestia on October 15 that the support of citizens plays a crucial role during the trial. According to him, despite difficult circumstances, public solidarity helps to maintain confidence and faith in justice.

"We are not striving for one hundred percent legitimacy — it would be naive to believe that this is possible in the current conditions. But one thing is absolutely clear: your support is extremely important, and each of us feels it," the lawyer said.

Vardevanyan stressed that the process is at a stage when key decisions are made by the court, but the citizens who come to the meetings show that they strive for justice and freedom.

"You came here for one thing — to have justice, justice and freedom," he said.
