Valeria confirmed the song's entry into the Grammy Award longlist
Valeria's song "Healing" from the album of the same name was included in the long list of the prestigious Grammy Music Award. The singer told Izvestia about this on October 15.
"A very unexpected news just stunned us a few days ago. Our track "Healing" has indeed been longlisted for the Grammy Award," Valeria confirmed.
According to the artist, the album was recorded with an international team led by producer and arranger Andy Plato, who submitted several of his works to the academy for consideration. As a result, three of them were accepted, including Valeria's song.
"We have no illusions, but we hope. This is our common victory, because the song in Russian was included in the Grammy list at a difficult time. We are very happy," the singer added.
Earlier that day, it became known that Valeria's composition had passed the qualifying stage of the Grammy Award and would be presented in three categories: "Vocal", "Instrumental" and "Arrangement". According to the singer's husband and music producer Joseph Prigozhin, the song was longlisted largely due to collaboration with Andy Platon, whose musical experience helped the project get on the list of applicants.
