The State Duma proposed to deprive Alla Pugacheva's children of Russian citizenship
The children of singer Alla Pugacheva should be stripped of Russian citizenship, as they "will inevitably grow up to be Russophobes." This was announced on October 15 by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, Vitaly Milonov.
"What will these children inherit? They will grow up to be real Russophobes. And who will need them later with such a dislike for Russia?" he said in an interview with the Public News Service.
According to Milonov, the Russian Federation "does not need such a legacy." He also suggested that the children of the artists who left would not want to return to their homeland, as "the Russian mentality is alien to them."
"They grow up in an environment that is saturated with a different culture, non-traditional values, and a Russophobic view of the world. Actually, their parents actively support all these newfangled trends," concluded Milonov.
On September 16, the head of the Federal Project on Security and Anti-Corruption, Vitaly Borodin, created a petition aimed at depriving Pugacheva of the title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation. According to him, the singer has lost the right to respect.
