Sales of winter car tires decreased in Russia
Sales of winter tires in Russia decreased by 12% in September compared to the same period last year. This was reported on October 15 by TASS with reference to experts from YUKASSA and Check Index.
Analysts attribute the decline in winter tire sales to warm and dry weather in early autumn in many regions of the country. Also, according to experts, the decline in demand was influenced by the general decline in the car market.
The average receipt for the purchase of winter tires for passenger cars increased by 5% over the year, to 8,170 rubles. During the same period, turnover in the auto parts and accessories segment increased by 6% compared to the same days in August, the number of payments remained unchanged, and the average receipt increased by 5% (to 6,936 rubles).
Earlier, on October 9, the Ministry of Transport reminded that it is worth changing summer car tires to winter tires when the average daily air temperature reaches +5...+7 degrees, and there are also constant frosts. In the Urals, it is usually time to "re—shoe" a car in October, and in Central Russia - closer to November.
On September 4, analysts reported that winter and summer tires of the non-premium price segment for passenger cars rose in price by more than 3% over the year.
