The UK has imposed a ban on the import of petroleum products produced in third countries from Russian oil. This was reported on the government's website on October 15.

"The United Kingdom has announced a ban on the import of petroleum products produced in third countries from crude oil of Russian origin," the statement said.

On the same day, the UK imposed sanctions on five individuals and 35 organizations. In particular, oil companies, as well as Russian credit organizations, were subject to restrictive measures.

On the same day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, responding to a question from Izvestia, said that despite the sanctions, the Russian economy was developing. She also recalled that Russia was one of the three G20 countries with the highest economic growth rates, overtaking Brazil and Turkey.

Earlier, on October 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the plenary session of the XXII annual meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club that Western attempts to isolate Russia had completely failed.
