For the first time in six months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at Gorlovka from an M777 howitzer.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the village of Horlivka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) with the help of an American M777 howitzer. This long-range weapon has not been used by the enemy to attack the city for more than six months. This was announced on October 15 by the Mayor of Gorlovka, Ivan Prikhodko.

According to him, the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is already "practically not reaching the city."

"In some places, it is very rare to get the M777, a long-range NATO weapon. They had practically not been used for more than six months before," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Prikhodko added that today the howitzers "just arrived."

On the same day, Prikhodko reported that a woman had died in Gorlovka as a result of an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The mayor expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
