There have been 302 road accidents in Russia over the past 24 hours.

Over the past day, 302 road accidents have occurred on Russian roads, in which 35 people were killed and 352 injured. This was reported to Izvestia on October 15 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

19 accidents involving buses were recorded, in which 28 road users, including three minors, required medical assistance. Six bus accidents were caused by traffic violations by their drivers.

As a result of 118 accidents involving pedestrians, nine people were killed, and another 115 were injured in various degrees of severity. Among the injured are 17 children, 13 of whom were injured at pedestrian crossings, four outside the pedestrian crossing. Of the total number of pedestrian incidents, 63 occurred at pedestrian crossings and 55 outside their area of operation. In addition, 40 accidents involving minors were registered, as a result of which 43 young road users were injured, including 19 passengers and two motor vehicle drivers.

The State Traffic Inspectorate drew the attention of drivers to the fact that during the change of seasons, they should be extremely careful when driving, in particular, avoid sudden rash maneuvers and realignments, observe the interval and distance between vehicles, and do not exceed the speed limit. External lighting devices must be turned on while driving, fog lights must be used in bad weather, and in conditions of heavy fog, rain or snowfall, reduce speed as much as possible and move with the alarm lights on.

"If you become a participant in an accident, you need to identify the scene, call the traffic police, and if there are victims, an ambulance team. In addition, due to changes in atmospheric pressure, the State Traffic Inspectorate recommends that drivers take more care of their well-being. If you suddenly feel unwell while driving, you should immediately stop the car, call a doctor if necessary, or use public transport services," said Police Colonel Anton Belan, Deputy head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of Child Traffic Injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

Earlier, on October 7, it was reported that from January to September 2025, 7.9 thousand people were registered in Russia. Accidents involving drivers who are intoxicated, which is 12.3% less than in the same period last year. 2.1 thousand people died in such accidents, and more than 10 thousand people were injured (a decrease of 23.5% and 10.6%, respectively).
