Former Minister of Transport Dietrich was appointed senator from the Novgorod region

Former Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Evgeny Dietrich was appointed senator from the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was announced on October 15 by the governor of the region, Alexander Dronov.

"I am sure that Evgeny Ivanovich will represent the interests of Novgorodians at the federal level with honor and dignity," Dronov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also noted Dietrich's great professionalism and managerial experience and stressed that his knowledge would help in solving the challenges facing the region.

It is noted that Dietrich served as Minister of Transport from 2018 to 2020.

Svetlana Kirillova, the widow of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, chief of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Forces (RCBZ), who died in 2024, and a deputy of the Kostroma Regional Duma from the United Russia party, was appointed senator from the legislative authority of the region on October 8.
