Chinese Foreign Ministry supports airline protest over US plans to ban flights over Russia

The Chinese Foreign Ministry supported the protest of the national airlines of the People's Republic of China after the proposal of the US Department of Transportation to ban the country's aircraft from flying through the airspace of the Russian Federation during flights to or from the United States. This was announced on October 15 by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian.

"We support Chinese companies in protecting their legitimate rights and interests," the diplomat stressed at a briefing.
