Roman Pristansky, a nutritionist and nutritionist, told how to eat during illness in order to speed up recovery.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Wednesday, October 15, the expert noted that the main thing is to correctly determine the stage of the disease and act in accordance with it. He explained that if the signs of a cold have already appeared, it will not be possible to completely avoid the disease, but its duration can be significantly reduced.

He proposed a simple temperature-dependent power supply scheme. If it increases, it indicates an inflammatory process and cell destruction. In such a situation, according to the expert, it is important to give the body energy for recovery: increase the amount of protein, remove carbohydrates and ensure sufficient water intake.

If there is no fever, but weakness, aches and sore throat are observed, this indicates viral activity. In this case, it is recommended, on the contrary, to temporarily eliminate protein, add carbohydrates and maintain a high level of fluid intake — for about one or two evenings.

Pristansky stressed that this approach, based on understanding the processes in the body, helps to recover faster and prevent the disease from developing.

On October 13, Marina Moiseyak, Professor of the Department of Fermentation and Winemaking Technologies at ROSBIOTECH University, in an interview with Life.ru She said that milk helps to soften the throat and relieve the condition with colds and coughs, and useful additives can enhance its effect. To enhance the effect, you can add figs or mineral water without gas. And milk with onion or sage has a bactericidal effect, writes RT. One of the simplest remedies is considered to be a milk-soda drink: a teaspoon of soda is diluted in a glass of hot milk and drunk warm twice a day before meals, notes 360.ru .

On October 2, doctor Anna Basova explained how vitamin deficiency is associated with colds. The expert noted that frequent illnesses in a child can be associated not only with viruses, but also with weakened immune systems.

In September, the head of the expert company LEM Solution, Evgeny Ladushkin, urged Russians who caught a cold to stop driving. He noted that the disease reduces cognitive functions, impairs peripheral vision and slows down reactions, NSN notes.
