The autumn-winter hunting season for fur-bearing animals has begun in the Lipetsk region. According to the norms, one hunter can get one marten, beaver and hare per day of hunting. And in a season it is allowed to get no more than two individuals of these animals.

GOROD48, referring to the regional Directorate for the Protection and Use of Wildlife and Aquatic Biological Resources, writes that ermine, weasel, polecat, red fox, American mink, raccoon dog and water vole are allowed to be killed without restrictions.

The department recalled that the white hare, the European mink and the steppe mink are listed in the Red Book of the region. It is forbidden to extract them.

In early October, it was reported that, according to official data from the photo survey, the number of Amur tigers in the Lazovsky Nature Reserve and the Call of the Tiger National Park has noticeably decreased in recent years. In 2013, there were 16 adults in the reserve, and by 2024, there are only nine. There were 10 adult tigers in the Call of the Tiger National Park in 2015, and five remained in 2024.
