Moscow Football club Torpedo has announced the appointment of Oleg Kononov as the team's head coach. The relevant information was published on the club's official website on October 15.

"Oleg Kononov is returning to the post of head coach of Torpedo. The decision was made by the founders of FC Torpedo Moscow, N.K. Storozhuk and V.A. Kozhaev," the statement said.

It is noted that the specialist will prepare the team for the match against Veles in the Russian Cup, which will be held on Thursday, October 16.

The head coach returned two months after his resignation. Kononov led the team from January 17, 2024 to August 15, 2025, adds Sport-Express.

Later, on August 22, Torpedo announced the resignation of Ariklenes da Silva Ferreira (Ari) from the post of sports director of the team.
