On October 15, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on a birthday gift to Russian President Vladimir Putin from the military of the special military operation (SVO) and announced the leader's intention to meet with the fighters.

"When the president's schedule allows, he will announce it himself. I don't know if the meeting will be public. The icons are at the president's house," he said during a briefing.
