New tariffs have been launched for paid parking in St. Petersburg

New tariffs for paid parking started operating in St. Petersburg on Wednesday, October 15. The cost now depends not only on the category of transport, but also on the degree of congestion in the parking lot.

According to Alexandra Bakhmutskaya, deputy chairman of the transport Committee, thanks to new approaches to calculating fees, it will be possible to reduce the level of loading of parking space in the historical center of the city, relieve the busiest streets and distribute traffic flows.
