The players of the New York Rangers hockey Club (HC) did not score a single goal in the first three matches of the National Hockey League (NHL) season, which became a new anti-record. This became known on October 15.

It is noted that the game of HC Rangers with HC Edmonton Oilers ended with a score of 0:2. Previously, hockey players from the New York team did not score in home matches with the Pittsburgh Penguins (0:3) and Washington Capitals (0:1).

According to the TASS news agency, the New York team cannot score for 180 minutes, previously the anti-record belonged to HC Florida, which played games without goals for 155 minutes and 17 seconds.

Earlier in November 2024, Khabarovsk HC Amur beat Astana Barys 3-0 in the Fonbet — Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season match, breaking a series of 14 defeats that became an anti-record in the club's history. Sochi had the longest winless streak in the history of the KHL with 21 matches in the 2022/23 season and Spartak Moscow had 19 matches in the 2013/14 season.
