Weather forecaster Wilfand announced Russia's transition to winter mode

A cold snap is observed throughout Russia, as a result of which we can say about the country's transition to winter mode. This was announced on October 15 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

"There comes a period that is called very beautifully — pre-winter. Traditionally, there is such a period from mid-October to December 15-20. It's like preparing for the winter circulation, for the winter regime," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

It is noted that even in the southern regions of Russia there is a cooling. Despite maintaining fairly comfortable temperature indicators — up to +18 degrees Celsius — these values will soon decrease.
