- The Ministry of Defense showed footage of the work of the airborne forces of the Dnepr group
Advanced aviation gunners (PAN) provide guidance to assault and army aircraft when launching missile strikes against the enemy. On Wednesday, October 15, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published footage of the work of such specialists of the Novorossiysk Airborne unit of the Dnepr group of forces in the Zaporozhye region.
"The work of aircraft manufacturers is especially dangerous, because it rarely gets into the camera lenses, but it is from these inconspicuous fighters that the accuracy of air strikes and the safety of the crews depend," the department said.
Aircraft manufacturers work from secretive positions and are forced to constantly assess the environment, exercising caution, dexterity and military cunning.
"We work every day. For what purposes? This can be either the enemy's personnel, or some kind of fortifications. That is, we are trying to work on all the targets that aviation can reach to support our offensive," said an aviation gunner of the Novorossiysk Airborne Mountain Unit with the call sign Lucky.
Earlier that day, the Ministry of Defense said that the artillery crew of the Msta-S self-propelled artillery units of the Vostok group of forces destroyed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and the AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery warfare station in the Zaporizhia region.
