- Correspondence between young Republicans of the USA praising Nazism appeared on the Web.
The Republican Party of New York was at the center of a scandal after the publication of the newspaper Politico about racist and anti-Semitic messages in the chat rooms of Young Republicans. Leaders of youth groups have been sending hundreds of messages for seven months with insults, threats of violence and praise of the Nazis, the newspaper reported on October 14.
In their conversations, chat participants wrote insults against African Americans, joked about gas chambers for political opponents, and discussed rape as an "epic" act of violence.
The governor of the state, Katie Hochul, condemned the correspondence, calling it "racist, sexist, disgusting remarks."
"The leadership of the Republican Party should really look at what they are cultivating among this next generation," added Yvette Clark, a member of the House of Representatives.
Some chat participants apologized, but expressed doubts about the authenticity of the messages, blaming internal conflicts in the party.
Earlier, on August 10, it was reported that the Truth Search AI chatbot on the Truth Social platform, owned by US President Donald Trump, named the 44th president of the United States, Barack Obama, the best head of state, despite the opinion of the current leader. The AI referred to public opinion polls and Fox News materials. In addition, the bot refuted some of Trump's statements about the impact of tariffs on the stock market and the rise in crime in Washington.
