The Rocket and Space Corporation Energia (RSC, part of Roscosmos) has registered a patent for a space system that creates artificial gravity. The relevant information was published on the website of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), it became known on October 15.

The system includes an axial module with static and rotating parts, habitable modules, means of rotation and power supply. The four habitable modules are connected to the axial one through docking nodes, which ensures the reliability and safety of the crew even in the event of failure of one of the elements of the hermetic connection.

The authors noted that the rotation of the system will create an overload of up to 0.5 g (50% of the earth's gravity), which corresponds to a rotational speed of about five revolutions per minute with a radius of 40 m. The patent also provides schemes for placing modules under the fairing of a launch vehicle and the order of their assembly in orbit.

Earlier, on August 22, the United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC UAC) patented a wide-body long-range aircraft, the design of which in many ways resembles the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The vessel is designed to carry passengers, baggage and additional paid cargo on regular commercial flights, including flights with a range of up to 13.6 thousand km, including over oceans and undirected terrain.
