Durov warned the French about the threat of depriving them of their privacy rights
Pavel Durov, co-founder of Telegram, criticized the initiative of the European Union (EU) to monitor correspondence in Telegram, saying that the Chat Control bill threatens the privacy of French users. This became known on October 14 from Durov's post on the social network.
"Today, the European Union almost deprived you of your right to privacy. He was preparing to vote on a law that would oblige apps to scan all personal messages, turning all users' phones into a tool for espionage," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
