Klyuchevskaya volcano in the east of Kamchatka spewed an ash column 7.5 km above sea level. This was announced on October 15 by the Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Group (KVERT) of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"Klyuchevskaya volcano in Kamchatka on Wednesday morning spewed a column of ash to a height of 7.5 km above sea level," follows from a publication in the Telegram channel.

It is noted that the ash plume stretches for 80 km to the north-northeast of the volcano. Klyuchevsky's activity was recognized as dangerous for local and international air transportation, as a result of which the aviation color code "orange" was announced.

Earlier, on October 13, Klyuchevskaya volcano spewed ash to an altitude of 7 km above sea level. It is specified that the ash plume stretches for 33 km to the southwest of the volcano.
