Residents of Odessa went to a rally demanding the removal of Mayor Trukhanov
In Odessa, local residents went to a protest rally calling for the removal of Mayor Gennady Trukhanov from office. This was reported on October 15 by the Ukrainian Channel 24.
It is specified that about 100 participants of the action are calling for bringing the official to criminal responsibility.
They also advocate the demolition of a number of monuments, such as the monument to the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin on the main city square near the city Hall.
On October 14, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky stripped Trukhanov of his citizenship. It is noted that the decision was made in connection with the alleged presence of all three Russian citizenship.
