Rospotrebnadzor in the Lipetsk region summed up the tick season. 5,97 thousand people suffered from pest bites.

Experts remind that the territory of the Lipetsk region is endemic for tick-borne encephalitis. There are also cases of borreliosis in the region.

This year, acaricide treatment was carried out on an area of almost 1.5 thousand hectares. Special attention was paid to the territories of summer camps, parks, beaches, cemeteries and gardening associations.

Earlier it was reported that vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis was proposed to be introduced in the Murmansk region.
