Madagascar's Supreme Constitutional Court (CC) has put forward a proposal to rebel leader Michael Randrianirin to lead the country. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on October 14.

"The Supreme Constitutional Court of Madagascar invites an army colonel to the post of president <...> and demands that elections be held within 50 days after the military coup," the article says.
