The JAC T9 pickup truck began to be produced in Russia, a copy of the domestic assembly has already appeared in one of the dealerships. This was reported by Quto on October 14.

A representative of the car dealership said that the manufacturer of the localized JAC pickup truck is Automotive Industrial Technologies, owned by Sollers Group of Companies. According to him, externally, Russian-built cars look exactly the same as the versions imported from China, and the cost of the car is the same regardless of the country of origin.

Officially, JAC did not inform about the start of the T9 assembly in Russia, but at the beginning of the year it announced such plans.

In September, the first batches of Sollers ST9 pickups rolled off the assembly line at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, said Alexey Russian, Governor of the Ulyanovsk region. This model is based on the JAC T9. Sales of the ST9 started in early October, the model is available in trim levels from 3.5 million and 3.58 million rubles.

Based on the Sollers ST9, which is based on the JAC T9, Sollers is developing an SUV, with sales expected to begin in early 2026. In January of this year, Sollers launched production of all-wheel drive Sollers ST6 and ST8 pickups using full-cycle technology at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, these models are also based on JAC machines.
