The 2025 motorcycle season in Moscow is officially closed. The Metropolitan Department of Transport announced this in its Telegram channel on October 14.

Deputy Mayor for Transport Maxim Liksutov urged motorcyclists to refrain from riding a motorcycle until next season, as traction is getting worse due to humidity and wet leaves, and to prepare vehicles for storage.

The department advised motorcyclists to wash and dry their equipment, protect it from corrosion (apply silicone spray to metal parts), plug the exhaust pipe, remove the battery and store it indoors, as well as reduce tire pressure, treat the transmission chain, install the motorcycle on the running board and cover it with a cover.

Prior to that, on October 10, Deptrans reported a 15% reduction in the number of motorcycle accidents in Moscow over 10 years. In 2025, the most frequent accidents occurred due to non-compliance with the order of travel (217 cases), violations of the rules of lane change (188 cases) and speeding (157 cases).

The top five traffic violations that caused motorcycle accidents also included non-compliance with the distance (88 times) and running a red light (40 times).

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
