Rutube views from abroad have almost reached 2 billion since the beginning of the year

The number of Rutube views from abroad exceeded 1.8 billion between the beginning of January and the end of September this year. This follows from the data provided on October 14 by the platform's analytical service.

Most of the video hosting is visited by viewers from Kazakhstan (371.9 million), the USA (235.3 million) and Belarus (214 million). The top 5 also includes (108.6 million) and the Netherlands (108.4 million).

The content of ordinary users, including lifestyle videos, is most popular among foreign users. In addition, TV series, movies, entertainment videos, and news have high views. The most watched video in 2025 among viewers from abroad was the video "60 years of Johnny Depp. The most striking roles."

"Rutube is developing rapidly today. About 80 million people in Russia watch videos on the site every month. The team of managers, developers and creators is trying to create a product that would be convenient for both authors and viewers, including those outside our country. We are already seeing the results today — the foreign audience is increasing every month," said Alexander Zharov, CEO of Gazprom Media Holding.

Meanwhile, Asian content is gaining popularity among users from Russia. From January to August 2025, over 100,000 pieces of anime content were published on Rutube. This is almost twice as high as in the same period last year and seven times higher than the values of the year before. Views over the same period increased 7.7 times compared to 2024 and 44 times compared to 2023.
