Lukashenko says Belarus is ready to make a big deal with the United States

Belarus is ready to conclude a big deal with the United States if Minsk's interests are taken into account. This was stated on October 14 by Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting on the global international situation and the development of Belarusian-American relations.

"We will wait for their global proposals, a big deal, as they know how to say. We are ready for this. We are ready to make a big deal with them. On one side of the scale are their questions, requests and demands, on the other side of the scale are our questions and demands," the BelTA news agency quoted him as saying.

The Belarusian leader also noted that the policy of resuming relations with the United States should be based on the interests of Belarus.

Earlier, on August 15, US President Donald Trump and the Belarusian leader had a telephone conversation. Trump called the talks very good. He shared that he had discussed with Lukashenko the release of 1.3 thousand prisoners.
