As part of an anti-corruption lawsuit against retired judge Viktor Momotov and his associates, the Prosecutor's office has attached materials on the case of prostitution in Morton hotels. This was reported on October 14 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the Ostankino courtroom in Moscow.

"I ask you to attach the decisions on the initiation of criminal cases, as well as the sentences on the organization of prostitution in the Marton hotel chain in Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd and Kaliningrad. Minors were also identified among those involved in prostitution," the prosecutor said.

The court, which is considering the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation on the seizure of Momotov's assets, also imposed restrictive measures on his partner Andrei Marchenko and other affiliated persons — they were restricted from traveling abroad and banned from opening new bank accounts.

On September 23, it was reported that the Ostankino District Court of the capital received a lawsuit from the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation against Momotov. According to the source of Izvestia, as part of the lawsuit, the agency requires the seizure of real estate registered to third parties. The judge registered the acquired real estate and business with trusted and controlled persons, without declaring his income. In addition, Momotov used judicial immunity to cover up his assets in the Marton hotel chain.

On the same day, Momotov appealed to the commission of the Council of Judges with a request to verify information disseminated in the media about possible violations of anti-corruption legislation. Momotov said that after the official notification of the receipt of the relevant claim in court, he is ready to provide all necessary explanations and documents.

On September 26, it became known that the Supreme Qualification Board of Judges of the Russian Federation (HCCC) of Russia prematurely terminated the powers of Judge Momotov. On October 3, the court restricted Momotov's travel abroad.
