About 7.3 million working parents will receive a family payment.

In 2026, additional social support in the form of family tax payments will be provided to 7.3 million working parents who raise about 11 million children. This was announced on October 14 by the head of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes.

"According to preliminary calculations, about 7.3 million working parents of two or more children will receive additional support. About 119 billion rubles are provided for these purposes in 2026. About 11 million children are being raised in families that will receive additional assistance," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Kotyakov clarified that the recalculation of personal income tax will be carried out at a rate of 6%. Parents whose average per capita income is below 1.5 regional subsistence levels, whose property meets the established criteria, and those who do not have alimony debts will be able to claim the right to receive family tax payments.
