A new toll highway with a length of 18.6 km will be built in Moscow, which will connect Novorizhskoye Highway and Odintsovo Northern Bypass. It is planned to be built in four years, Kommersant reported on October 14, citing data from the draft agreement published on the GIS Bidding portal.

The site provides for the construction of a number of structures, including an overpass over the M-9 highway and a bridge over the Moskva River. The estimated speed is 120 km/h, the average daily intensity in the first year of operation will be about 23 thousand vehicles. The preliminary cost of the road is estimated at 77.5 billion rubles.

According to the press service of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, the project is planned to be implemented on concessional terms, which will minimize budget expenditures on construction and create large infrastructure facilities at a faster pace.

The city will receive ownership of the road, and the concessionaire, after completion of construction, will be able to temporarily charge tolls, recouping his investments. The agreement with him will be valid for 49 years. The potential investor is a special project company created by JSC MISK and CJSC Leader.

Earlier, on October 13, it was reported that the cost of a trip on the Moscow High-speed Diameter (MSD) was indexed: on each of the nine sections of this road, it increased by 3 rubles and now stands at 10 rubles.

Prior to that, on September 20, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation stated that the idea of introducing toll roads on all roads of Russia, which was expressed by some experts, is not being discussed and is not being considered.
