A man who created a drug production laboratory with the help of the Ukrainian organized criminal community (OPS) has been detained in the Kemerovo region. This was reported on October 14 in the office of the FSB in Kuzbass.

The department clarified that the man was detained during the synthesis of narcotic substances.

"The illegal activities of a member of an interregional criminal group, which included representatives of the Kemerovo and Novosibirsk regions, Altai and Krasnoyarsk Territories, involved in the production of synthetic drugs, organized by the Ukrainian organized criminal community, for subsequent sale in Russia, were suppressed," the TASS news agency reports.

According to the FSB, more than 38.6 kg of mephedrone, as well as more than 1.5 tons of precursors and drug synthesis equipment were seized in the premises of the drug laboratory.

A criminal case was opened against the detainee in accordance with Part 3 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code ("Preparation for a crime and attempted crime"), Part 5 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs"). A preventive measure was chosen for him in the form of detention.

Earlier, on September 22, it was reported about the suppression of the distribution of a large batch of heroin, which was transported by two men, in Vladivostok. It was clarified that law enforcement agencies found 183 packages with a narcotic substance.
