A weak region of the Earth's magnetic field, known as the South Atlantic Anomaly, is growing in size and expanding. Scientists from the European Space Agency (ESA) warned about this on October 13.
"Scientists have discovered that a weak region of the Earth's magnetic field over the South Atlantic, known as the South Atlantic Anomaly, has expanded since 2014 to cover almost half the area of continental Europe," the publication says.
