SKA's victory against Avtomobilist was not recognized due to a mistake by the referee.

The victory of the SKA hockey club was declared invalid due to an error by the referee in scoring the goals of the teams during the game with HC Avtomobilistami in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) match. This became known on October 13.

It is noted that the KHL disqualified the referee of video replays for life for a wrongly scored goal.

"In the 46th minute of the match, after defender Andrei Pedan's throw, the puck did not cross the goal line. Judge of video replays <...> he had to make sure that the goal was taken correctly <...> and only then extinguish the orange lantern. This specialist has been suspended from work at KHL matches for life," the KHL press service said on its official website.

However, HC Avtomobilisty cannot file any statement against HC SKA either.

"According to Article 77 of the KHL Sports Regulations, Avtomobilist does not have the opportunity to protest the result of the match with SKA (1:2) due to an incorrectly counted army puck with the score 1:1," Sport-Express reported.

It is clarified that the erroneous victory of HC SKA over Avtomobilists in the match, which ended on October 13, interrupted the team's string of defeats in the KHL championship.

Earlier, on September 15, the forward of the Lada hockey team, Andrei Altybarmakyan, was disqualified for five matches for throwing the puck towards the referee in a match with SKA. Based on Article 29 of the KHL Disciplinary Regulations, Altybarmakyan was punished for a violation related to throwing an object in the direction of the referee, and was initially disqualified for four matches with a monetary fine. In addition, the hockey player received an additional one-match suspension for two large disciplinary fines before the end of the game, which led to a total suspension of five matches.
