The family of swimmer Svechnikov, who disappeared in the Bosphorus, has submitted an application to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.

The family of Russian swimmer Nikolai Svechnikov, who went missing while swimming in the Bosphorus, has filed an application with the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation. This was reported to Izvestia on October 13 by one of the relatives of the missing man.

Alyona, a relative of the wife of the missing Nikolai Svechnikov, confirmed that Galina Svechnikova, the swimmer's mother, had submitted an application to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, and the family was waiting for a response from the department.

On September 24, Svechnikov's mother said that the organizers of the swim were hiding details about her son's disappearance. She noted that there were no recordings from the swim, although filming was underway, there were many correspondents.

On October 8, Alexey Ivanov, Charge d'affaires of the Russian Federation in Turkey, said that the search for Svechnikov had not been successful.
