Galina Svechnikova, the mother of Russian swimmer Nikolai Svechnikov, who disappeared in Turkey, said that she and her family had filed a complaint with the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation. This became known on October 13.

"We have submitted an application to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation with a request to influence the Turkish and Russian authorities to strengthen and not stop the search. We are waiting for an answer," RIA Novosti quoted Svechnikova as saying.
