No changes have been made to the procedure for issuing sick leave. This was announced to Izvestia on October 13 by Alexey Kuznetsov, Assistant Minister of Health of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, information appeared on the Web that the Russian Ministry of Health has reduced the list of diseases that are considered grounds for official absence from the workplace.

"The information provided does not correspond to reality, no changes have been made to the procedure for issuing sick leave," the message says.

They added that no decisions have been made to reduce the number of diseases and conditions, including those accompanied by severe fever, for which a sick leave is issued, and such changes are not planned in the near future.

On July 24, it was reported that the Ministry of Health had developed new rules for issuing sick leave. It was noted that if a person has applied for sick leave four times in six months, the attending physician will be required to contact the medical board.
