Russia welcomes the stabilization of the situation on the Afghan-Pakistani border and calls on the parties to exercise restraint. This was announced on October 13 by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that the Russian side was anxiously following the news about another escalation of the situation in the area of the Afghan-Pakistani border on October 10-11.

"The situation is stabilizing. We welcome this process. We call on Kabul and Islamabad to show restraint and restraint, and resolve any differences through political and diplomatic means," the ministry's website says.

Afghan official Zabiullah Mujahid said on October 12 that 58 Pakistani soldiers were killed and 30 others injured during a clash with the Afghan military. According to him, nine fighters were killed from Afghanistan, and 16 were injured. The Afghan military destroyed 20 Pakistani security posts.

On the same day, the Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan announced the completion of the operation launched on the evening of October 11 on the border with Pakistan.
