Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during a meeting with UAE Vice President Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan on October 13, stressed the importance of continuous delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and stressed the need for full implementation of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel.

"Erdogan said that the ceasefire agreement must be fully implemented, humanitarian aid must be delivered to Gaza without interruptions," Haber 7 channel quoted him as saying.

Erdogan noted that Turkey is working to "end the genocide in Gaza" and sees an opportunity to achieve lasting peace. He also stressed that it is important to begin immediate work on the restoration of the region.

According to the agreement, the fighting will cease, Israel will partially withdraw from Gaza, and Hamas will release all remaining hostages in exchange for prisoners held in Israel. The ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip entered into force on October 10 at 12:00 Moscow time.
