The Israeli NGO Forum of Families of Hostages and Missing Persons said that during the day only four of the 28 dead hostages would be returned from the Gaza Strip. This was announced on September 13 by representatives of the organization on the social network X (former. Twitter).

"The families of the hostages were shocked and dismayed to learn that only four of the 28 dead hostages held by Hamas will be returned today," the publication said.

It is emphasized that the members of the forum consider the incident to be an offense and expect assistance from the Government of Israel in taking appropriate measures.

Earlier that day, the first group of seven Israeli hostages released by the Palestinian Hamas movement was handed over to the IDF in the Gaza Strip. It was noted that upon their return to Israel, all of them will undergo a medical examination. Later, Hamas released a second group of 13 hostages, who were handed over to the Red Cross.

Later, US President Donald Trump called October 13 a great day in connection with the end of the conflict in the Gaza Strip and the release of Israeli hostages by the Hamas movement. He also stressed that the war between Israel and Hamas is over. According to him, representatives of the Palestinian movement will implement the disarmament plan.

On October 9, Israel and Hamas signed an agreement on a cease-fire and the release of hostages after indirect talks in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. According to the agreement, the fighting will cease, Israel will partially withdraw from Gaza, and Hamas will release all remaining hostages in exchange for prisoners held in Israel. The ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip entered into force on October 10 at 12:00 Moscow time.
