Astrakhan Governor reported on the repulse of a major air attack by air defense forces

Air defense systems have repelled a major air attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Astrakhan region. This was announced on October 13 by the governor of the region Igor Babushkin.

"Last night, air defense forces repelled a major air attack in the Astrakhan region. Thanks to the coordinated work of the military personnel of the regional air defense system, more than two dozen drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed," the head of the region wrote on the Telegram channel.

He added that there were no casualties. The governor also asked residents not to approach the wreckage of drones if they were found and to report the discovery to 112.

The United States is discussing the supply of Tomahawks and Barracudas to Kiev, as well as intelligence to attack Russian energy infrastructure.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the air defense forces had destroyed 16 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the skies over Crimea. It is specified that the drones were aircraft-type.
