On October 13, the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Alexey Russky, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, noted the strengthening of the industrial potential of the region.

"By the end of 2024, the industrial production index in the Ulyanovsk region was 116%. We are among the top five regions of the country, we are the first in this indicator. We are actively working to increase wages — in 2021 it was 36,000 in the region, and today it is already 65,000. In 2024, we were moving at a rate of 122%, which is ahead of the average Russian levels," Russkikh said during the meeting.

Earlier, on August 8, the Russian government wrote off more than 29 billion rubles of debt from 12 regions of the country that have modernized housing and communal services. The Ulyanovsk region has received the opportunity to write off up to two thirds of the debt on budget loans.
