In the first six months of 2025, almost 60,000 high-tech medical operations were performed in the capital. This is almost two more than five years ago, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in the MAX messenger.

Today, over 30 medical institutions provide high-tech care in the city. The hospitals are equipped with expert-level equipment: angiographs with 3D visualization of blood vessels and cavities of the heart, CT and MRI machines.

In hospitals, robotic systems are also used, thanks to which operations are carried out with minimal injury. For example, surgeons in the capital use robots to perform knee arthroplasty. After robotic interventions, patients recover faster.

Sobyanin stressed that Moscow is constantly increasing the availability of high technologies in medicine. Medical institutions provide assistance using innovative techniques in such areas as cardiovascular surgery, traumatology and orthopedics, ophthalmology, neurosurgery, urology, and oncology.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
