FSB: they wanted to kill a high-ranking officer of the Ministry of Defense with a bicycle bomb

An explosive device designed to kill a high-ranking officer of the Russian Ministry of Defense was supposed to be attached to a bicycle at the entrance of the serviceman's house. Information about this follows from a video distributed on October 13 by the Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation.

"They sent this bomb to me via a drone to prepare it. Then they ordered me to prepare a bomb and put it near the entrance," one of the detainees said during the interrogation.

Another person involved in the case added that the supervisor of the terrorist attack suggested attaching a bicycle with explosives with an anti-theft lock.

The investigation department of the FSB of Russia opened a criminal case on the incident under Part 1 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 205 ("Terrorist act"), part 4 of Article 222.1 ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices").
