Inclement weather has settled over the capital region, due to the influence of a cyclone that came from the Arkhangelsk region. The atmospheric vortex will continue to circle along the borders of the Moscow region over the next 24 hours. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on October 13.

She noted that the temperature regime will change slightly in the coming days. At night, the thermometer will show +2...+4 degrees, while the daytime temperature will remain at +5...+7 degrees. However, a cold snap is expected on Wednesday and Thursday, with minimum values dropping to +1...+3 degrees, and mild frosts are possible in some areas of the region.

"And only by the weekend will the temperature in Moscow rise slightly due to both night and daytime values, and the air temperature will return to normal. As it is, the temperature will be about 1.5-2 degrees below normal for most of the week," the forecaster added.

As for precipitation, the rainy weather will continue throughout the week. Moderate rains are expected on Monday and Tuesday, but their intensity will decrease from the second half of the week. Mixed precipitation in the form of rain and sleet is possible at night, while only light rains are forecast in places during the day. The gradual weakening of precipitation is associated with an increase in atmospheric pressure and the removal of the cyclone center from the metropolitan region.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that clouds, rain, and sleet were expected in Moscow on October 13. It was specified that the air temperature in the capital will be from +4 to +6 degrees, at night it will drop to +3.
