More than 10 cases of illegal gold mining were recorded in Transbaikalia

In Transbaikalia, police officers managed to identify 12 facts of illegal mining of precious metals. These are the results of the operational and preventive measure "Gold".

The operation lasted five days. During this time, more than 180 inspections were carried out. Law enforcement officers seized about 75 kg of gold-containing concentrate and more than 900 grams of chemically pure gold from illicit trafficking, writes IA ChitaMedia with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region.

Criminal cases were opened against two people. They were accused of embezzlement, illegal storage and transportation of precious metals.

Earlier it was reported that in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, two employees of a gold mining company were detained, suspected of stealing a concentrate with a precious metal worth over 434 million rubles.
