Skoda Superb and Octavia cars, which can be found on the Russian secondary market, regardless of the generation, often have problems with electrics — from control units to contacts in door harnesses. Alexander Kovalev, an auto expert, told about this on October 13.

In addition, the gearboxes of the Skoda Fabia and Rapid are questionable from the point of view of reliability, especially on cars from 2008-2011 with the preselective "robot" DQ200, the specialist pointed out.

"It's not worth avoiding these models entirely, but you need to approach the choice with an understanding of the risks. Even if Skoda engines tolerate an increase in power well, the best option remains a factory—made car," the Rossiyskaya Gazeta quotes Kovalev as saying.

However, as the expert noted, Skoda cars are considered one of the most balanced in Russia in terms of reliability, dynamics and maintenance costs. Many models can easily withstand moderate technical tuning, since their design is designed with a margin of safety.

On September 15, Kovalev named frankly problematic examples of Nissan cars on the Russian secondary market and singled out the third-generation Pathfinder. Before that, on September 8, the auto expert listed the problematic Mazda models on the Russian secondary market. He called the second-generation Mazda 6 sedan one of the company's most controversial projects.
