In the Eastern Administrative District, the Ministry of Emergency Situations forces have been put on high alert. This is due to the difficult fire situation. The region has a fire hazard class III.

According to the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the EAO, Ivan Kopysov, quoted by IA EAOmedia, two wildfires have occurred in the autonomy over the past 24 hours. The area covered by the fire exceeded 30 hectares.

A set of measures is being implemented to stabilize the fire situation. Special attention is paid to ensuring fire safety in urban and rural settlements. Municipalities were obliged to join this work.

Earlier, on October 13, it was reported that two forest fires had been extinguished in the Khabarovsk Territory over the past weekend. Both fires were located in the Khabarovsk region: northwest of the village of Kukan.
