A Soviet-era staircase was repaired in Khabarovsk

In Khabarovsk, a staircase built in Soviet times was repaired on Turgenev Street in the area of Glory Square. Residents of the city constantly complained about her condition.

The decision to start work was made on behalf of the governor Dmitry Demeshin. More than 200 million rubles were allocated from the regional budget for the repair of central streets, IA AmurMedia writes with reference to the regional Ministry of Transport and Road Management.

The outdated steps were completely replaced, and a ramp was built according to modern standards. Special attention was paid to such technical parameters as the angle of inclination and the height of the steps. They were coordinated with representatives of organizations with disabilities to ensure accessibility and equal conditions for movement for all categories of citizens.

It was possible to update the road surface of the roadway and apply markings. The installation of energy-efficient lighting fixtures will begin in the near future. Special screens will appear on the side of the pedestrian sidewalk.

Earlier it was reported that another automatic weight and size control point will appear in the Khabarovsk Territory. Its construction is underway on the 44th km of the highway "Access to the Mukhen river" in the Lazo district as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life".
