The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attempted to regain their lost positions in Volchansk, Kharkiv region, but suffered losses of more than 30 soldiers. This was reported to TASS on October 13 by the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"The plan and areas of formation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces assault groups were revealed in advance by intelligence, as a result of fierce rifle battles and complex fire damage, the counterattack was repelled, the enemy lost over 30 men," the agency's source said.

According to him, for this purpose, the enemy was replenishing the units of two assault brigades with mobilized ones.
